About Me
My fondest college memory is holding a Black History Month seminar my senior year. This was a collaboration with one of our Spiritual Formation Opportunities (SFO) Be:Justice. I had started a group called Ubuntu to bridge the cultural divide between African and African-American students but recently expanded to different cultures while still planning to keep Christ at the center. I had a list of prompts for each panelist (three African, one African-American, one Caribbean-American); The setup was similar to a Jubilee video. I enjoyed hearing everyone's perspectives on faith, Black History, and also the Black Lives Matter movement.

This story, along with collaborating with classmates for a History Senior Seminar project about a church camp, and interviewing and writing feature articles about students’ academic and career interests, led me to combine my passions in history, writing, and education to write stories about common people making a difference in their communities. I also want to restore value in these three areas as they help us navigate the world and teach important skills.

As a storyteller, I want to produce truthful, accurate stories about well-known and lesser-known communities because everyone's story matters. I also want to instill a passion for life-long learning.
