Engaging Anxious Preschoolers

The Problem
In work and volunteering at church, I've learned it can be difficult to help preschool-age children adjust especially if it's their first time away from their parents. If children refuse to participate in activities it can be frustrating for teachers.
The Solution
This infographic provides simple ways to help a preschooler adjust to their new surroundings making things easier for them and their teachers. The project was created using Canva and emphasizes patience with children and gradually encouraging involvement.
Adapting Your Preschool Classroom

The Problem
A tidy classroom makes for a fun and safe learning environment. Adapting it depending on the number of students is challenging. My lead teacher and I struggled to keep the classroom tidy as we got new students and we had a lot of toys and activities. Due to the number of students the classroom got messy.
The Solution
We gave more or fewer choices depending on the number of students. The days we have 10 students, we give fewer options. The days we have 7 we give more.
E-Learning
Overview + Audience
Managing a classroom full of preschoolers can be rewarding and challenging-- especially if they are 2-3 years old. Children who haven't been to school yet or haven't been away from their parents before can struggle to adapt to school life. This scenario-based training is for preschool teachers and aspiring teachers.
The Problem
Preschoolers need a lot of attention, and sometimes it can be hard for teachers to pinpoint exactly what's wrong. Preschoolers don't talk much and it can be hard for them to adjust, especially if they've never been away from family members and don't know how to help themselves.
The Solution
This course is designed to help teachers properly interact with their students when students refuse to participate in class.
After this course teachers will be able to:

-
Identify communication/language barriers between teachers and students.
-
Demonstrate how to engage distant/disinterested students.
-
Implement different learning routines and activities to engage students.
-
Identify challenges students face adjusting to school environment.
